Rome on 35 mm

On the first week of February I flew to Rome along with one of my closest friends Beatriz. It was our very first trip as long time friends. We spent 6 days there and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. There is nothing like having fun with someone that knows and understands you so well and that has the same interests as you. We ate a lot, we walked even more, we saw a lot of dogs (and that’s probably my favourite thing about Italy) and we got inspired by all the art that surrounds the amazing city of Rome. We visited museums, beautiful streets and squares, galleries, monuments, vintage stores and really amazing churches. We got lost, we caught the wrong bus several times and we bought a lot of souvenirs because we’re tourists. But the thing that I’ll remember the most is the art. It’s impossible going to Rome and not being amazed by it. I mean the city has so much history that’s inevitable not being affected by it. That trip was so amazing for me because it made me realize that I could love art so much more than I already did! Everything about the city is inspiring: the buildings, the streets (although the drivers are completely insane) the monuments and sculptures which you can find at any corner. There are details everywhere, and the art just screams at you.

I got back to Portugal completely inspired and feeling like myself again. Feeling like I knew what I was going for the first time in a long time, and what I wanted the next chapter of my life to be. This trip gave me so much inspiration that the first thing I did when I got back was starting to work on a new project that’s taking all of my time and I can’t wait to share it.

I’m definitely going to keep these images forever to never forget of how amazing it was. I’ve been so anxious to finally see these photos and they’re here! I hope you like them and fall in love with the city as I did!
